General Travel Information
We try to make getting to camp as simple as possible for your camper. You will receive emails updating you on travel information up until camp starts. We also use a text and phone messaging system to alert you of any changes or delays in bus or air travel.
For the trip to camp, we strongly recommend sending your child to camp on the charter buses we provide from the Chicago-land area. The cost is $100 each way and will be added to your final statement. You must make your bus reservation by May 1.
To Camp: We will depart from the Target Parking lot located at 7000 Mannheim Rd, Rosemont, IL directly across the street from the Allstate Arena. Please arrive no later than 9:30 for a 10:00 a.m. departure. We will also make a pick up in Madison, WI at the Pine Cone Shell, Exit 132, 51 Madison/Deforest between 12:30 and 1:00 p.m.
Returning Home: There are several boys that take the bus home from camp. We depart camp around 8:45 a.m. and arrive at the Madison Pinecone around 1:00 p.m. and at the Target parking lot about 4:00 p.m.
If possible, we would love for you to join us for our final banquet festivities. You’ll meet your child’s counselor and friends, check out all his favorite activities and catch some of that awesome camp spirit.
Drop off is on Sunday between 1-3 p.m.
Once you enter Camp, you may park in the parking lot at the top of the hill. Our staff will meet you at the entrance and direct you from there. The drop-off is coordinated to get your son acclimated to camp as soon as possible – which means you should plan for a short, cheerful goodbye.
If you’re debating on whether to come at the beginning or the end of camp, we strongly recommend coming at the end for the family picnic and banquet.
Our boys travel from all over the country and the world to get to camp. Boys will often fly into Chicago’s O’Hare Airport to be picked up by assigned counselors and taken to our buses at the designated drop-off point. We try to make getting your son to camp as easy as possible. If you have any questions about travel, please contact us.
Your son’s flight must arrive at O’Hare no later than 9 a.m. in order for us to pick him up and transport him to the charter buses. If your camper is flying domestically, please ship his trunk via UPS two weeks ahead of the first day of camp. On the return flight, we arrive at the airport at about 3:45 p.m. and we recommend his return flight is no earlier than 6:00 p.m. in order to make it through security.
International flights can be tricky to coordinate, but we have systems in place to facilitate logistics. Your son’s flight must arrive at O’Hare no later than 9 a.m. in order for us to pick him up and transport him to the charter buses. If that is impossible, please contact us to make alternate arrangements. Please contact us before making any flight reservations. International boys may borrow a trunk from camp.
