Why should the boys have all the fun?

Highlands in August has always naturally lent itself to fun and relaxation. Highlands is the perfect place to get away right before the long days of summer come to an end. Friends + Family Camp is the last week of the camping season, set aside for camper families, friends of Camp, alumni, and friends of friends. It’s also a great place to get that reluctant camper comfortable with the idea of a summer at Highlands.

You may choose a more rugged camping experience in one of our rustic boy’s cabins, without electricity or running water. Or you may prefer a Lodge room or cabin which have electricity, screens on the windows and share a common bathhouse.

Unplugged Family Fun

The day’s schedule includes counselor-led activities in the morning and afternoon, three meals a day, and most importantly….rest hour! We also offer a “glamping” overnight trip on our neighbor lake, a babysitter for little guys during the day, led hikes, and the occasional evening pontoon boat ride.

What about Covid-19?

It’s true that this summer’s family camp will look quite a bit different from past summers. We will require that family units operate as cohorts and masks will be required if you are not in your cohort or physically distanced. We will most likely be eating outside or in shifts by cohort.
